Formerly the FSM Awards, we will be the hosting the 13th edition of the event in March 2025. Held annually, the Contract Catering Awards is the only event to celebrate the leading players from this highly innovative and influential industry. The night itself is packed with the crème de la crème of contract catering – from Rising Stars to the Lifetime Achievement Award winner.

History of the event

Every year, people from across the industry nominate their colleagues and peers in what has now grown to 16 categories. This huge number of entries is then whittled down to a shortlist by a bespoke panel and, ultimately, the 16 winners are announced on the night. The expert judging team is comprised of some of the leading names from across hospitality and foodservice.

How it works

A night of great celebration – and a sell-out every time – next year we will be handing out the most awards ever – 16. Aside from the accolades, it’s also a great chance to catch up with old industry friends and colleagues for one night only, all while enjoying the finest hospitality. A truly altruistic event, money is also raised every year for a truly deserving industry charity.

The awards night

  • “We're extremely proud of all our winners at the 2024 Contract Catering Awards. The event is as a great showcase of all the fantastic achievements within our sector, and to take home four of the awards is an amazing endorsement of the hard work and dedication of our people.”

Allister Richards, chief executive officer of CH&CO

  • “It was a complete surprise! There were lots of other worthy chefs in the room and on the shortlist, so it was really very humbling to have been named the winner. It was such a fun night, and it was great to be able to share the evening with my colleagues. To have their support was a great feeling and it makes you realise that you are a really valued member of the team. The recognition from peers has been amazing, I’ve had so many colleagues from within BaxterStorey get in touch to wish me congratulations. It’s given me such a sense of achievement.”

Charlotte Becke, culinary lead for BaxterStorey, winner of the 2024 Unit Hero Award

  • “While it is cliché to say, I truly was surprised to hear my name being read out as the winner on the evening. It was such a diverse range of finalists, all of whom would have thoroughly deserved it. Because I didn’t arrive with expectations that I would win, it was a really enjoyable shock to take home the prize. It was a fantastic evening. It was wonderful to be recognised for the hard work and dedication of both myself and the team at Rugby School. It also provided a great opportunity to network with others in contract catering.”

Matthew Bennett from Chartwells Independent, winner of the 2024 Education Award
